Islamiya English School (IES) in Abu Dhabi, UAE is a mature private non profit making educational institution that shares a history of more than 30 years (1978). The school is found within Al Danah Zone 1 and offers English medium, co educational learning between Kindergarten (KG1) and grade 12. It follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales and students take international examinations, including the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) at Grade 10, and International Advanced Levels (IAL) at Grades 11 and 12, which are recognised by the Edexcel.

The academic curriculum of the school is very broad based covering the following disciplines: English Language and Literature, Arabic, Urdu/Hindi/Bengali, Quran, Islamic Studies, Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Social Studies, Pakistan Studies, Commerce (Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics), Design & Technology, ICT, Art/Craft, Physical Education and Moral Education. Other than academics, IES has put much emphasis on holistic development through a variety of co curricular activities such as sports, arts, elocution, debates and quiz competitions with a lot of stress on moral values, community responsibility and the 21st century skills.

Islamiya English School has a variety of facilities to facilitate their education system; well equipped science laboratories, computer labs, library and playing grounds. It has its own means of transport as well and a canteen in the school. Although the school has been rated as Acceptable by the ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge) during the recent inspections, it has strengths in terms of personal and social development of students, protection, care, guidance and support of students, and high levels of achievement in mathematics, science and Arabic which are especially strong among high school students.
